Connecting to OnGas LPG - Commercial

Twin pack installations can also be used for business/commercial connections (see residential connections), and multi cylinder installations are available. These are contained in their own station or cage and can be located anywhere on the property, as long as the area is accessible for delivery. Piping is laid from the building to the installation.

The Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act has provided rules on the placement and number of cylinder on site. The current legislation states that if a site has more than 100kg of LPG storage, then a “Location Test Certificate” is required. This is issued by the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) New Zealand, and must be approved before any installation is undertaken.

Large industrial and commercial customers may have the option of a bulk supply where the product is delivered underground from a bulk LPG vessel through artificial vapourisers located on the customer’s site to the end use application.
